About Us
The nice thing about having a resume too long to include in a website is that it means when it comes to a lot of what you need, I’ve been there – done that. It means that when we launch a conversation, we can get to the important stuff a lot faster.
I come from an eclectic business and educational background...
I have 30+ years’ business experience (I know – I don’t look that old!) including tenure at such companies as American Express and Amtrak in New York. I’ve worked in a wide variety of areas such as: Operations, Training, Customer Service, Business Planning and Analysis, and Database Design. For several years I was a part-time faculty member at Santa Fe Community College in New Mexico, providing computer and IT training in the credit, continuing education, and contract divisions. While there, I developed a reputation of training expertise with the senior population.
My education is varied as well. I hold a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from York College, CUNY and completed graduate level business courses at Pace University. I have completed numerous computer software courses and am certified at the Master level as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). I also hold a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University in New York.
I love diversity. I get bored doing the same thing over-and-over. That means I like new challenges and complex opportunities.
I love people. I left the corporate world to get my Masters degree in social work because I find my greatest joy in helping people.
I love creating. Although I’m sort of a geek when it comes to computers, what I like best about them is using them to create. That could be in words or visuals, or better yet, both.
I love details. I’m meticulous about my work. I want it to be perfect.
I love Spirit. I believe my best work is inspired work. When you and I collaborate effectively, we bring more to the table than just the physical bodies in the room. That’s when work becomes joy!
